At present, high-end medical consumables, diagnosis and treatment equipments which domestic hospitals used mainly rely on import and this is one of the main factor of expensive treatment cost. But whole technology of China medical device has a larger gap with foreign advanced technology. In some high-end products, foreign enterprises are located in absolute monopoly position, such as ECG, Computed Tomography, MRI and Digital Radiography, you cann't see national brand. The International companies have monopolied 80% domestic market share. Even in ultrasonic instruments and MRI field, international enterprises monopoly share was more than 90% so that price is still high and increase the cost of going to hospital.

According to China association for medical devices industry statistics, there are 30000 medical equipment manufacturers in China but companies scale is small and market dominant is limited and most of high-end medical equipments were genericed and improved. So we should develop domestic high-end medical equipments and it is not only helpful for overall competitiveness of Chinese medical devices but also it can decrease medical cost of national people.

In 29^th, Aprial, 2010, the Chinese academy of sciences signed framework agreement of Chinese academy of sciences-Weigao group's high technology research and development program in order to promote domestic medical equipment, medical device, medical material and biological medicine industry development and research and develop high technology level and good product quality. At last, national medical equipment should speed up the independent industry innovation and upgrading and develop high-end products so that form its own landmark products and strengthen the core competitive power.
