Remote Patient Monitoring Kit Supports Telehealth
A web-based remote patient monitoring (RPM) platform transmits real-time biometric data to healthcare providers, facilitating chronic disease management.
The WITHmyDOC (Ft. Lauderdale, FL, USA) RPM@Home is designed for chronic care management, using advanced artificial intelligence (AI) to deliver predictive analytics and a bilateral notification system. The system provides on-line review capabilities of patients' biometric data between office visits as frequently as needed, making it easier for providers and clinicians to detect, diagnose, and treat emerging symptoms. The patient-centric platform is both device- and electronic health record (EHR) agnostic.
Internet of things (IoT) devices included in the base kit are a pulse oximeter, a weight scale, a blood pressure monitor, and a 10-inch tablet that transmits vital data to the physicians' office in real time and communicates critical alerts programmed for individual patients. Also available are a glucometer, a 24-hour continuous monitoring temperature sensor, and an ECG/respiratory rate sensor. As monitoring can be done while the patient is in an isolation unit, at the hospital, or even at home, RPM@Home can minimize healthcare professionals' exposure to COVID-19infected patients.
