A good Computed Tomography image is the solid guarantee of CT diagnosis. If you want to get a good image, there will be a lot of link in the side of quality control. Now let me introduce two faults of artifact interference affecting photos image.

 Fault phenomena and maintenance

First Fault: CT scan normally and there is rolling across water wave artifact on console monitor. It doesn’t affect image observation under monitor, but the artifact is fixed after laser camera photography and affect diagnosis doctors reading film.

Analysis and processing: Due to CT normal scanning. Firstly, you can judge that interference signal causes that. Because there is no spare monitor to replace, so we use exclusive method to look up the other equipments except monitor so that narrow checking range. Firstly, turn off the scanning frame power and take down CT image workstation, but interference artifact is still there; Then check landlines contact and find good. Voltage instructions is roughly balance and measure voltage of zero line to earth, it is 5V and it seems to be in normal range; The following you take down laser camera and find interference artifact disappear. So you can measure the voltage of laser camera chassis to earth, it is 32V. It is not normal; Then you decompose laser camera and wash machine and take down DSA cable and check DSA situation and find UPS chassis charged; Maintain and recovery the connection of every equipment, CT monitor artifact disappear. Laser camera image is back to normal.

Second Fault

Fault phenomena: The before fault has happened a year latter and CT monitor has appeared similar across black artifact and affect laser camera. Before this time, CT has replaced X-ray tube for one time.

Analysis and processing: The fault is off and on and continue several months. In this period, we have adopted the similar ways to check for several times, but there is no result. It affects CT image quality. When it appears artifact in work, the hospital transformer trip suddenly. Then stop the light supply and artifact appeared at once. When recover the light, check various lighting electrical appliances in turn. At last, we find that a double view pieces lamp is the direct reason and check the same model view pieces lamp of the others room, it is no this phenomenon; Use view pieces lamp in another room, there is no the phenomenon; After that, use view pieces lamp of the other room to placed in the same socket of fault room, the fault appears again. In addition to connect power to provide view pieces lamp for using, the fault disappeared. CT photograph has recovered normally. The reason is that the socket and and monitor electricity maybe the same phase and make electromagnetic wave resonance role. At the same time, socket landlines contact bad.

There are a lot of reasons which CT monitor appears artifact, Signal interference is one of the common reason and look it up and solve it in time.
