ZOLL to Showcase Expanded Portfolio of Technologies at MEDICA 2016
Time:2016-11-16 8:53:02 Author:admin
ZOLL Medical Corporation (Chelmsford, MA, USA), an Asahi Kasei (Tokyo, Japan) company, will display its expanded, fully integrated portfolio of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and acute critical care technologies at MEDICA 2016 (Dusseldorf, Germany), the world’s leading trade fair for the medical industry.
Featured are two new automated external defibrillators (AEDs), the ZOLL AED 3 and the ZOLL AED 3 BLS, which build on a legacy of introducing new technology to the AED market to help improve outcomes for cardiac arrest patients. Enhanced Real CPR Help provides rescuers with the power to know when they are providing high-quality chest compressions. Every ZOLL AED 3 comes with Program Management Onboard (PMO), which notifies users immediately if the device fails a self-test or if the battery is due to be replaced, ensuring the device is always ready to be used.
The ZOLL AED 3 BLS (basic life support) model is designed specifically for the needs of first responders, with CPR Dashboard and the ability to deliver the patient record directly to health care providers. ZOLL also introduces the world’s first 5-year universal electrode for both adult and pediatric patients, further improving cost of ownership. Another resuscitation solution that will be presented at MEDICA is the X Series Monitor/Defibrillator (MD), which enables system-independent 12-lead transmission to the hospital. New RapidShock functionality gives the rescuer a Shock/No Shock decision in as little as 3 seconds.
Other solutions showcased at MEDICA 2016 include The AutoPulse Resuscitation System, an automated CPR device designed to deliver high-quality CPR whenever and wherever it’s needed, and especially during transport of critically ill patients. When used in the hospital, the AutoPulse helps staff achieve a more organized resuscitation code when resources are constrained on nights and weekends, and in the cardiac catheterization lab it helps keep staff members safe from radiation.
ZOLL will also present leading-edge resuscitation technologies designed for the military, whether on the battlefield, during aeromedical transport, or in a hospital. Included are the lightweight, rugged, but full-featured EMV+ 731 ventilator, which has a long 10-hour battery life to accommodate the needs of the military; the Propaq M vital signs monitor with advanced parameters; and the Propaq MD, which features both Real CPR Help and See-Thru CPR.
