Hitachi, University Of Tokyo Co-develop Contrast Agent Technology For Ultra-sonic Diagnostic Equipment
Time:2012-8-17 9:34:14 Author:admin
Hitachi's Central Research Laboratory and Schools of Engineering and Medicine, University of Tokyo, have jointly developed a contrast agent technology for ultra-sonic diagnostic equipment.
The technology transforms contrast agents made of nano-sized droplets into micron-sized bubbles that emanate reflected signals required to obtain tumor tissue images.
Unlike the existing technology that can reach only blood vessels, the new technology based on nano-droplets can obtain information on tumor tissues selectively.
