Enhanced Workflow Tools for Clinicians
An integrated software range of clinical and financial applications improves patient care and increases collaboration between clinicians, providing a better overall healthcare environment.
The Centricity Enterprise system provides caregivers with real-time access to a patient’s electronic medical records (EMRs), allowing them to more closely monitor changing health conditions, document assessments more quickly, and communicate seamlessly with all care providers. The software provides caregivers access to patient information across the healthcare continuum, including radiology and cardiology images and information--all right at the point of decision.
The integrated clinical/financial system creates a comprehensive electronic health record by automating the workflow of users and supporting clinical, financial, and administrative processes. Centricity Enterprise integrates core clinical processes for orders, results, and pharmacy and care documentation, in concert with administrative/financial processes for scheduling, registration/admitting, charging and billing. The system helps caregivers provide enhanced patient care through computerized physician order entry (CPOE), clinical decision support, and expert rules, while documenting all aspects of patient care.
Centricity Enterprise includes a Web-based portal that provides patients with access to their personal information continuously, including appointments, billing, and health history. In addition, the newest version of Centricity Enterprise is supported by the Hewlett-Packard (HP; Palo Alto, CA, USA) NonStop Itanium platform, which boasts 99.99% uptime, subsecond response time, and considerable scalability, easily supporting thousands of simultaneous transactions and users. Centricity Enterprise is a product of GE Healthcare (St.Giles, UK), a division of General Electric Co. (GE; Fairfield, CT, USA).
